Collie Youth Driver Training

Keeping new drivers safe on the roads is the core of Verve Energy’s sponsorship of a driver training program for Year 11 students at Collie Senior High School.

Each year dozens of Year 11 students participate in the training course which shows students how to drive safely and sensibly and demonstrates the effects of speed, alcohol, drugs, fatigue, stress and peer pressure on driving. 

Basic mechanics such as removing a wheel and learning how brakes operate, tyre pressure, defensive driving, steering techniques and handling distractions are also covered.
