Environmental Approvals
Verve Energy obtains environmental approvals for new projects in line with relevant legislative requirements. When required, approvals are sought from Regulatory Agencies, both State and Commonwealth. These approvals ensure environmental considerations have been identified and taken into account for the design, construction and operation of the project.
Major projects undergo a comprehensive community consultation process to ensure community involvement. An environmental management plan is then prepared to address identified environmental issues and impacts, agency and community issues. The plan sets environmental objectives and targets, details project management actions, provides a time frame for completion and delegates responsibilities for undertaking the work.
Projects are audited periodically to ensure that environmental management commitments, conditions and actions are completed in a timely manner.
