Apprenticeships and Traineeships

At Verve Energy, we invest in our people and future. Our vision is to become the leading business in the evolving Western Australian energy market.

As part of that vision, we recognise the importance of developing our workforce for the successful operation of our power stations.

  • Mechanical;
  • Electrical/instrument; and
  • Boilermaker/pressure welder.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships combine on-the-job practical experience with a structured training program, and provide candidates with a nationally-recognised qualification.

Verve Energy offers apprenticeships at Muja Power Station near Collie. Vacancies are advertised on this website, in the West Australian and some country newspapers around August each year.

Traineeships

A traineeship is a structured program combining on and off the job training for Mechanical and Electrical trades. The benefits for trainees include:

  • Getting paid while you learn;
  • Gaining a nationally-recognised qualification; and
  • Obtaining skills that are transferable.

The Verve Energy traineeship is a four-year course. The number of traineeships offered varies each year.

Traineeships are advertised towards the latter part of the year in the West Australian newspaper and some country papers.

Applications for Traineeships are only accepted when vacancies are advertised.
